WHY
Digital transformation is already happening to all of us. Are we aware of the speed of the change and opportunities coming out of it? How is it impacting our businesses, leadership in complexity and can we learn more about what may be coming our way?
According to Hal Varian, chief economist, Google: "Automation doesn’t generally eliminate jobs, it eliminates dull, tedious, and repetitive tasks" and we also know from external research that 60% of occupations have at least 30% of work activities that could be automated (McKinsey Institute), hence it will impact different occupations in different ways. Next-generation reskilling will be a major unlock to help companies transform and deliver on business imperatives.
WHAT
Google Digital Board Initiative is a start of a journey of round sessions. Google Adriatics wants to help boost digitalisation and support Slovenian businesses and government to continue to create value. We are gathering different industries and environments into a project called the Google Digital Board Initiative, bringing relevant topics, speakers, opening discussion for digitisation of businesses and society. This time we are bringing Digital transformation and Future of Work to the table.
Our idea is to inspire this discussion, foster the development of ideas and opportunities that digital technology provides both today and in the future. Our aim is to share this joint knowledge in this group. The more we know collectively, the better we can influence our organizations and society in general for the benefit of the future.
